What is generative AI

Generative AI is the type of artificial intelligence that creates new content — text, images, audio, video — from a request in plain language. It's the technology behind ChatGPT, Gemini and image generators. In businesses, it pays off on production and language tasks, with human review of anything that goes to the customer.

It's different from AI that only classifies or predicts, like a model that scores leads: generative AI produces something that didn't exist before.

Where it pays off in a sales operation

In the three areas where Nexo implements AI:

  • Marketing: content drafts, creative variations, format adaptation
  • Sales: conversation summaries, proposal drafts, follow-up messages
  • Customer service: answers to questions based on the knowledge base

What to watch out for

Generated content can contain errors, made-up numbers or promises the company can't keep. That's why anything that goes live gets reviewed, and customer data only goes into tools approved under the company's usage policy.

Frequently asked questions

Are generative AI and LLMs the same thing?

Not exactly. An LLM is generative AI for text; there are also generative models for images, audio and video.

Can content made with generative AI be published?

Yes, as long as it's reviewed. Google evaluates quality and usefulness, not the tool used to write it.
